Ken Wood is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LJM, where he pioneered a shippercentric approach to parcel shipping optimization. While most competitors come from the carrier side, Wood built his career supporting shippers directly, selling third-party shipping systems and software for Fortune 500 companies. That experience gave him a clear view into the gaps, overcharges, and
inefficiencies shippers faced every day. In 1998, he founded LJM to address the widespread
inefficiencies and lack of transparency in small parcel carrier contracts and invoices.
Under his leadership, LJM developed its proprietary Parcel Intelligence Platform™ and launched its Executive Shipping Advisory—a highperformance service designed for business leaders who view shipping as a strategic lever. This offering blends decades of pricing expertise and powerful analytics to uncover cost anomalies, expose operational blind spots, and drive lasting efficiencies.
Today, Wood leads LJM’s sales, marketing, and strategic partnerships, while continuing to advise clients directly. His forward-thinking approach has helped more than 1,500 companies turn parcel shipping into a competitive advantage, and he continues to influence the industry through his insights on shipping trends, pricing strategy, and supply chain innovation.
