Roundtable Roundup 2024

Today we posted our tenth episode in the Speaker Roundtable series, and our seventh published in 2024.

It would be understating it to say we are proud and happy with how these special episodes have come together, and so as things start slowing down for the holidays, we thought it only made sense to do a year-in-review summary to highlight this content again for those who may have missed it the first time.

What makes a Speaker Roundtable so special? Well, think of it as a private panel discussion without an audience. The participants are some of the most senior leaders attending our conference. Their conversation is guided by a moderator working from a list of topic areas, issues, ideas, challenges, and opportunities submitted by delegates as they filled in their profiles. The discussions are in-depth, wide-ranging, unscripted, honest, often funny, and obviously heartfelt.

Everyone cares so much about the work they do and what they want to share.

Each Speaker Roundtable is a snapshot of what the senior executives are working on and thinking about and learning and building towards right now. It is a window into where businesses are and where they are going. It is our privilege to organize such gatherings, and it is our pleasure to share them again here.

Please enjoy!

The Speaker Roundtable from BMWS24 — A Conversation About Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Issues and Ideas

(This was our largest group yet, and the first where we had participants from a previous year’s roundtable return to the conversation again for another episode!)

The Speaker Roundtable from NAFMS24 — A Conversation About Food Manufacturing Issues and Ideas

(This was our first Speaker Roundtable ever recorded at the launch of a new event series.)

A Speaker Roundtable from NASCES24 — A Supply Chain Conversation with SAP, General Mills, Google, and Walmart

(This was perhaps the most senior collection of our speakers to date, making up three of NASCES24’s keynote speakers, as well as a panelist and workshop leader to moderate.)

A Speaker Roundtable from NASCES24 — A Supply Chain Conversation Among Senior Executives on the Issues and Ideas that Matter Most

(This was the first time we ever recorded two roundtables at a single event. As you can see, there was more than enough to talk about!)

The Speaker Roundtable from NAMES24 —A Conversation About Manufacturing Issues and Ideas

(While all of our Speaker Roundtables come together very naturally and organically in the room, this particular episode stands out in our memory as the only one where we never stopped recording for any reason. This was done all in one take, which is a testament to both the moderator and the panelists’ engagement.)

The Speaker Roundtable from NAFES24 —A Conversation About Finance Issues and Ideas

(This one stands out in our memory as perhaps the most fun. The group gelled together quickly, and after the recording they made a point of posing for fun pictures to send to friends, family, and coworkers later.)

The Speaker Roundtable from NAHRES23 —A Conversation About HR Issues and Ideas

(This last one was recorded in December 2023 but published in 2024. We include it for the sake of completeness in this year’s retrospective, and we look forward to recording the next HR-related speaker roundtable in March of 2025!)
